CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING

The Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) takes its inspiration and shape from Catholic social
teaching, particularly Church teaching on migrants and newcomers.

In January 2003, the U.S. and Mexican bishops released an historic pastoral statement on migration titled
"Strangers No Longer: Together on the Journey of Hope."  This document builds on a rich tradition of
Catholic social thought and forms the basis of the Church's "Justice for Immigrants" campaign.
