BOARD OF DIRECTORS

CHAIRMAN
The Most Reverend Jaime Soto chairs CLINIC's Board of
Directors. He serves as an advocate for migrants both
within the United States and throughout his years of
priestly ministry.

Bishop Soto currently serves as Coadjutor Bishop for the
Diocese of Sacramento.  He was ordained the Auxiliary
Bishop of the Diocese of Orange, CA, by his Holiness,
Pope John Paul II on March 23, 2000.  In October, 2007
he was assigned to Sacramento.

In 1986 He began serving as the director of the
immigration program for Catholic Charities of Orange. He
was involved with the implementation of the Immigration
Reform and Control Act of 1986.

Bishop Soto was ordained as a priest in the Diocese of
Orange, CA in June 1982. Following his ordination, he
served as associate pastor at Saint Joseph Church in
Santa Ana from June 1982 until July 1984.
He was appointed as Episcopal Vicar for the Hispanic
Community in 1989. He has served on numerous local
and national boards involved with Hispanic and Immigrant
issues.
