Division of National Programs
Welcome to the Division of National Programs webpage!

The National Programs Division designs, funds, and
administers national legal and social programs.
Beneficiaries of these programs include particularly needy
populations such as refugees, asylees, the elderly, the
disabled, low-literate persons, low-income persons, and
persons in detention.

CLINIC partners in these programs with its member
agencies and other community-based organizations. These
programs attempt to strengthen immigrant families and
communities with legal and social services.

"THE VISITOR" & DETENTION ISSUES

CLINIC welcomes interest in the film "The Visitor," a theatrical depiction of an
immigrant in detention in the United States.

CLINIC is the largest network of legal immigration service providers for
detainees. Its services include legal rights orientation identification of
vulnerable persons in need of legal representation, recruitment and training of
pro bono attorneys, expansion of detention-based programs, advocacy for
detention reforms and more.
