CLINIC Submits Comments on Proposed Rule that Significantly Changes EOIR Procedures

On Sept. 25, 2020, CLINIC submitted comments strongly opposing an Executive Office for Immigration Review, or EOIR, rule that would further erode due process for noncitizens appearing before the immigration courts and Board of Immigration Appeals. The rule would codify the end of administrative closure, speed up appeals and remove judges' authority to reopen cases in the interest of justice.
