What will I do as a Asylum Project Coordinator?

This position provides administrative and technical support asylum seekers and volunteers supporting clients seeking asylum. The Asylum Project Coordinator will regularly collaborate with staff, volunteers, as well as other community partners in supporting their clients.

The coordinator will prepare asylum applications, reviewing asylum files for completeness and ensuring clients file at the appropriate deadlines. This position will also coordinate the training, matching, and supporting volunteers to work with clients in completing asylum applications, drafting briefs, and following up on the status of applications.

What are the requirements?

A Bachelor’s degree in paralegal, business administration, or related field. Prior experience working with social service or legal organizations is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Strong Microsoft Office or Google Suite skills, social media experience is a plus.
