Immigration Attorney/Experienced DOJ Representative
Summary
Caminando Juntos, sponsored by the Presentation Sisters in Sioux Falls, SD, seeks a full-time Immigration Attorney or Experienced DOJ Representative to lead our Immigration Legal Services Program and provide excellent direct legal services and representation in family-based, citizenship, and other cases before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of State (DOS). Our ILS Program is a well-established, reputable, DOJ-Recognized program with an eighteen-year history of responding to the unmet needs of vulnerable individuals and families. We seek an experienced, passionate, and committed individual to continue this legacy.
Responsibilities
- Directing and managing the ILS program conducting client consultations and determining eligibility for immigration benefits;
- Preparing and filing applications, petitions, and supporting documentation for clients; representing clients at interviews before the USCIS.
Qualifications
- Commitment to the mission and goals of Caminando Juntos;
- Law degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in any US jurisdiction with the ability to join the South Dakota bar OR an accreditation as a DOJ rep or the ability to obtain accreditation; three to four years’ experience in family-based immigration law;
- Bilingual in English and Spanish – written and spoken; and proficiency in e-immigration or other case management software.
