With hundreds of beds, the detention center was presented as the centerpiece of the Bush administration’s “tough on immigration” platform. Almost immediately, human rights and immigration groups condemned the center’s poor conditions and harsh treatment of detainees.
As it has for more than 30 years, CLINIC will fight for the rights of immigrants. CLINIC trains legal representatives who provide high-quality and affordable immigration legal services.
