Presidential Proclamation Restricting Travel from Southern Africa

On Nov. 26, 2021, the White House issued a proclamation suspending and limiting the entry for certain immigrants and nonimmigrants who were physically present in countries where the Omicron variant of COVID-19 has been detected. The restriction affects those who were present in the specified countries during the 14-day period prior to their entry or attempted entry into the United States.

  • Mozambique
  • Namibia
  • South Africa
  • Zimbabwe
